I bought this for a 10.1 inch tablet and when it arrived I was not disappointed. The quality to price is excellent. Thankfully the keyboard is full sized. All the keys work, the stand made the tablet lean at a convenient angle, and the magnetic closure is strong. Aside from the magnetic closure at the top, there are four tough plastic clips the tablet slides into, 2 at the sides and 2 at the bottom so falling out accidentally is highly unlikely. The USB cable is conveniently placed and its cable is long enough to suit just about any 10 inch; it, too, has a magnetic docking spot in the fold of the case. Oh, yes, it comes with a stylus. The comma, period and slash keys are narrower than a standard keyboard and this does not present a problem when using the keyboard. Keep in mind, and this is not just specific to this tablet, the [Shift] key on these keyboard cases does not [Shift] as on an ordinary PC keyboard. You must use the [Shift] key on the tablet screen. All in all this is a very good value..

First of all, I received the case with keyboard two days after I ordered it, fantastic. However, the keyboard doesn't work. Some of the keys will type but the majority will not. I also tested the device on my home computer USB port and it recognized the keyboard fine...but the same few keys work and the majority do not. Wrote seller for a return or exchange.

UPDATE 2/4/11-- Seller was excellent. He responded in one day to my keyboard problem. I received a new case in two days. It works great. Thank you for this great customer experience.

Review by technophobia : This is a smart and very useful product

I use a bucket ePad ZT-180 Zenit and light on the subject for a while. This case works well to buy from Amazon for the ePad. The best protection. The look is elegant and not as something for nothing. Now comes the best part - it includes a keyboard, a very large physical keyboard. Then I got the case I have not taken it out of this situation to use it again and I rarely have the virtual keyboard. The keyboard is comfortable when typing and it is very close to a laptop keyboard.

To date, this will be positive and I recommend it for sure.

Review by R.S. : Good concept but poorly placed left guide clip for the Viewsonic G tablet

The image was not the case, to show him this, but directive clips on the left and right side of that the instructions and the tablet is in place. The left direction is about 3 "down from the top and 3" from bottom on right side .. Bottom has two clips, too.

The Viewsonic G tTablet glides on smooth and you can tilt left and right clip into a more perfect fit.

I ran into the problem occurs when you try walking in the cable connecting the k / b USB. The clips include standard USB port in either orientation (landscape) of the tablets.

I bought male and female small USB USB adapter ($ 1.83 on Amazon) to see if I can make this situation work for me because the port is available. We'll see. If not I will return to the case.

Update: If you search Amazon for "G-Tablet Viewsonic goals and USB keyboard with Kick Stand - GSAstore" you should get what looks like the case only on the left side guide / holder tab is moved down, partly to cover the left speaker (another poster said it did not significantly block the sound) .. They do not seem to hold a stock for too long as they were when I watched it last week (I ordered just one and had one left in stock) .. .

Review by Mother Chaos : Love-hate-love-hate

IN THE INTEREST OF FULL DISCLOSURE: I am using this for an Archos 10.1 internet tablet - which is NOT the device it was designed for!! So, grain of salt on my cons.

Pros on this: The keyboard is awesome. It has taken my tablet up from "cute toy" to "mobile powerhouse." I do a LOT of writing, and the keyboard saves the day for me. I also like the "style" of it...it looks nice when sitting on my desk at work...but at the same time, it doesn't necessarily look like what it IS (e.g., a case for a $300+ piece of electronics), but more like maybe a realllllllly nice day planner binder or something. I think that's AWESOME, because I am paranoid about people marking my bags as Items of Interest If I Were To Want To Steal Something. The keyboard was true plug-n-play on my Archos, which is running Android 2.2.

Cons: The case itself is not the best in terms of shock absorption. It's a hard case inside and out, and if you just shut the case and go about your day, the keyboard will be banging on your tablet's screen all day as you jostle from place to place. (I unplug it from the keyboard and flip it around so the screen is against the *inside cover* instead of the keyboard - that also solves an Archos-specific problem, where one of the holding hooks rubs against the power / media volume switches!)

I don't know if this works better for the ePad, but it also doesn't *really* hold onto the tablet; it can shoot right on out of the case if you're not careful.

And, as others have mentioned...the smell. Hooooooboy, yeah. It can be *powerful*, especially if you've put it into your laptop case and left it overnight. When you open that bag in the morning, it'll about knock you over!! I've started leaving it spread open at night on a wire cookie rack, hoping to hurry up the "lose the new car smell" process!

The last grumble I have on it may not be the keyboard's fault at all - I'm not sure if this is hardware or software and haven't taken the time to look into it, but, some of the keys don't work as marked for the punctuation; I work in databases and do a moderate amount of HTML coding, and some of the most-common keys I use - greater than / less than signs, for example - do not work on this keyboard. I either have to unplug it and use the native Android keyboard, or put in a placeholder so I can search/replace when I port the file over to my laptop.

After all that, would I buy it again? ONLY IN A FLAT SECOND!!!! This is a great bargain at @ $35, and none of the above cons are deal-breakers for me. I paid the extra for expedited shipping and it arrived quickly. And I use it every single day, grateful for the added productivity without a lot of added weight..

I bought the case for use with the Archos 101 Internet Tablet. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers that the tabs on the left and right, and can not be seen clearly in the sales picture, a problem for some pills, especially the left tab, the Archos 101 is in the same area that controls and audio jack on the Archos. Simple solution would be to turn the tablet upside down in this case, after the entire screen to display the image on the right side of progress. The problem is that the tab on the right side about the same distance from the lower right edge of the tab on the left side from the top left corner. This means that when you turn the tablet upside down on the tab on the right side in the same way the tab on the left side of the tablet right-side up. Archos users will find that they can not really use the on / off and controls for volume or 3.5 mm jack access in this case.My solution is to cut the tab from the left and two small Velcro sticky pads for support from the attached file Archos. I have already installed the "dots" of velcro I bought locally at the fabric store. I'm sure that it is easily available online and offline. Archos is just fine and that the combination of the Archos and rather convenient case.

But if it were not for the fact that my case was launched from Singapore, I would be back. The problem is not a tab, but because of the "leather". I'm pretty sure that the misspelled word in their advertising. I do not want to destroy the case to prove it beyond doubt, but I'm 99.99% sure that pleather case. If it is not leather, pleather is probably the cheapest and ugliest of planet.Unfortunately, after I found and ran into the problem "I found a company with genuine leather with a detachable keyboard specifically for the Archos one hundred and firstIt was almost twice the price, but have less, made the right case and interchangeable keyboard equipped with good quality leather, it pays me.

If this is not just an issue of $ I would not recommend in this case of any Tablet PC. The "leather" is already lost when the form is less than two weeks of use. I'm sure it will be ok structurally, but aesthetically, it is not very attractive and I'm sure I'm not the problem better ...

If you're looking at this product for the G-tablet, don't get it. I had mine for one day, then sent it back.

Why? The tabs on the side that hold the tablet in are DIRECTLY in the way of where you need to plug the keyboard in. Meaning, either you have to bend the tab out to plug the keyboard in, or take the tablet out (and thereby defeating the purpose).

I'm sure you could just bend the tab back and forth every time you want to use the keyboard, but how many times would you have to do that before the tab broke off?

End of the line: it's not built for the Viewsonic G-Tablet. Save your money and get something else.

This is a nice case, however, it does not fit the Viewsonic G10 tablet. The case is significantly larger than the tablet. Therefore, it does not provide a secure grip. Also, one of the holder tabs fits right over the standard USB port which is needed to connect the keyboard. It would be great if the keyboard connector was a mini USB, then it would connect to the G10 tablet port without a problem. I bought this case because it was listed on the Amazon web site as a good fit for the G10. I will return the product.
