I ordered this Windows 7 touch tablet while waiting for months for the HP slate 500, which I have not received yet.
After I ordered, I realized that I had no clue who the manufacturer was, but I kept the order.
The tablet arrived in a few days, and, surprise, surprise, it works!
I have so much trouble with my Windows HP laptops at home and at work, so I was amazed that this tablet, which looks like an oversize iPhone, has a fast touch response.
The touch screen works best with my wireless mouse, because it seems it expects pinpoint input. It also works with finger tip and capacitive stylus, but I have trouble pointing accurately. In some cases, finger touch causes duplicate entries. I saw the same problem reported for the HP slate in a slate blog, at least by some users.
The tablet does not come with a relevant manual (generic was included), so I am not sure I am using the tablet input correctly, as I have not used a Windows touch tablet before. The screen dimensions, long and narrow, are a bit awkward, but using the tablet in landscape mode works well, because scrolling is relatively fast.
I have an iPad, and I mainly bought this tablet for Adobe flash content and Windows compatible programs. The tablet came with Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2007.
What about warranty? The seller told me there is a two- year warranty, through the seller.
The tablet came with a European rather than a US plug for the charger, and the seller responded promptly to correct the problem.
Based on interactions with the seller, I believe that the warranty will be honored, if the seller remains in business and can be reached.

Review by Ron Lawrence : Good value - bad battery life.

Item was described as, and it works well with Windows Ultimate (included). My wife iPhone and for the money, it's nice to have full blown operating system and all applications you are used to compare the existing ACTUAL little compared apps. It is quite a bit heavier and a little narrower than the iPad. The touch screen is responsive, but it is very difficult to use for some applications that are less (focus on mouse) buttons / links. To be a capacitive touch screen, this means that the light "pencil" rubber and hard to use to "draw" anything, and certainly not improve the accuracy of the fingertip. The only drawback for me was that the battery life quite poor compared to tablets ACTUAL or Android. It lasted nearly three plane ride two hours on "power protection" watching a movie on iTunes. If you need to use it for any serious work on the line now, you'd do well to pick up a battery extender of some sort to use the article.

Connected to a USB keyboard and mouse made this very useful for Ubuntu Linux, which lacks any serious tablet support at present. You can download Linux drivers for the network / Bluetooth from ftp://3dsp.com.cn/. You download just the driver, then the radio address to get a network connection.

Overall a good buy ..

I already have an iPad and bought this device mostly to replace my desktop while on the road, allowing me to install a host of Windows programs that the iPad will not run. Anyone familiar with Windows 7 should have no problem accessing the usual functions and running favorite software. The ultra-short manual in the box is essentially useless in explaining the new features that are unique to the tablet, but so far I have found these to be intuitive to the point of not requiring explanation.

Also in the box is a USB mouse which is useful because using the finger on the screen as a point and click device is not precise. I found that my finger touch point was off 1/4" vertically and 1/8" horizontally and I have not yet discovered a way to adjust this position error. But no matter, the mouse pointer is precise. I wanted to install my bluetooth mouse in place of the USB mouse and found that bluetooth was mysteriously omitted from the tablet. But that proved easy to work around by plugging a bluetooth dongle (Iogear) into one of the 3 USB ports and using Control Panel/Devices and Printers/Add a Device. Activating my ThinkOutside bluetooth keyboard required an extra step of entering (on the still inactive keyboard) an 8-digit number from the screen. While the mouse (USB or bluetooth) is almost essential, the bluetooth keyboard is not because the virtual keyboard that appears (or can be pulled out of the left screen edge) whenever typing is necessary is adequate, if not as tactically appealing.

The manufacturer is GINOVO, a large HongKong electronics firm (see Google). When I first ordered this tablet, the quoted delivery was 4 to 6 weeks. Not wishing to wait, I used an Amazon link to contact the dealer, James Fly, who is located somewhere in Asia. I found him to be very accommodating. My emails were invariably answered within 24 hours. For an extra $30 via PayPal, he offered to send the tablet via DSL to arrive in a week. That stretched to 2 weeks when he found out that DSL would not transport the device because of the lithium battery. He switched to Airmail, and delivery followed within about 4 days.

I like many features of a Windows 7 tablet. Although it weighs 2.5 pounds, about as much as a 10" netbook, it's more convenient than a netbook as a reader, especially in bed, because a keyboard doesn't get in the way. Also the 2-finger pinch and expand allows simple adjustment of text size and position on screen. I've only had this device a few days. So far it has lived up to my expectations and I am giving it 5 stars.

I don't have a problem. Does everything I wanted it to do after trying 3 other tablets. I own the viewsonic g tablet and it's great for playing games and has several apps. Great for general surfing, but all in all I like it. I returned the viewsonic viewpad 10 dual system tablet. Too many problems with Win7 and disk space to name one problem. If you ever end up getting a tablet,do yourself a favor and get a windows 7 tablet (not android or ipad) like this one. It is easily the best one ive used; its faster and it has more hd space than most.

Well exactly what is advertised as running giant Win7 iTouch. In addition to the book, but I doubt that the legal software. Not when I turned it on, it was me by the regular version, and I do not accept the license agreement. Windows 7 final and Tablet PCs with just over $ 400, hummm ....

I got this tablet about a month ago and it is just what i needed. It is a little bit heavier than the ipad but there is so much more you can do on it. This tablet is pretty much the same as a desktop computer. The battery life is rather short but that is expected. If you have ever used a desktop computer it is exactly the same except that this tablet is portable and somewhat lightweight. There are not any apps like on the android tablets. This tablets works great but it all depends on what you need it for.

I bought this from Amazon, 3 March 2011 and received it on 9 March 2011. I am amazed about this very quick delivery. Five star for that.
What has been claimed from the brochure were the same with the notebook I received.
All were working. Wi-fi wasworking, web-camera was working, the software (windows 7) was also runs well. I had tried with USB CDMA modem and worked well also. the capacitive touch screen was fine. In general I am very satisfied with the product.
About the product itself, the cons :
1. Heavy
2. Battery is only 2.5 - 3 hours
3. a little bit hot.

I just wondered where can I get the battery replacement if mine is depleted and damage.

05/27/11 - I decided to keep the tablet. I bought a cooling fan from Walmart and am able to use tablet for a few hours. Enjoying it now.


Should have purchased this in the US instead of China. My unit gets extremely hot after 15 mins that I can't even hold it without the case and it freezes up. I have to put it to sleep for a few minutes and then restart. The seller is willing to refund the s&h for me to return it but it will cost approx $150.00 to send it back. I am awaiting an alternative cheaper method from the seller. I was skeptical about purchasing electronics from overseas but I so desperately wanted a WINDOWS Tablet at a reasonable price and I have never had any issues with electronic purchases (bought an android tablet through amazon) so far so I wanted to give this a try. Anyway if it wasn't for this defect I would be very happy with it. It comes with Microsoft Office 2010, it is super fast. I use it primarily for work. In fact today at work I didn't have access to my computer due to upgrading and was able to use the tablet to work on my reports, email etc. I've used a mouse on it, I have Skype, tested the webcam, even my magicjack works great. If you get a unit without an issue like mine you will love it. If the seller does not come back with an acceptable solution I will live with the problem and hope the tablet doesn't die on me but I will never buy electronics abroad again...I will stick to my local Walmart where returns are always hassle-free.

After reading the above review, I bought this on ebay. I received a defective item. Media Player would hang the system.

Mostly the OS worked fine(Except the windows 7 limitations, I am not worried about them)

During the time I tested it, I felt it was heavy. It was very wide. I am not sure how I would have carried it around. Also, the item was heated up. I returned it as it was defective. I decided not to buy it again.
