I purchased this case for my new Kindle 3. I like the magnetic snap closure, and it works well to prop the kindle up or let you hold it in your hand. The leather looks great and the case seems to offer plenty of protection.The downside of this case is that there is a lot of leather covering the front of the Kindle. It goes around all the edges and even between the screen and keyboard, as opposed to some styles which only have little elastics around the corners. The problem with this is that although it looks great, it is a little bit harder to get to the buttons. None are actually covered, but the d-pad (arrows) especially is more difficult to get to as it is right up against thick leather. For this reason, when I am playing games or going to be doing much typing, I slip the Kindle out of the case until I am finished.Overall, this is a great product and I would recommend it. It is leather on the outside with a sort of soft fuzzy texture on part of the inside. The Kindle easily slides in and out with no fasteners, but it is secure while it is in and won't be escaping before you're ready. You can still charge and connect to the computer through the bottom of the case. The volume rocker is also hard to get to in the case, as the "-" is under the leather slightly, but most people don't use the volume at all and you shouldn't have to keep adjusting it so that is not a major concern for me. This case is for anyone that wants a lot of protection, a splash of style, and uses their Kindle primarily for reading..

Its okay...

The bad things
-the pockets on the facing cover are NOT leather, but cheap, thin material that doesn't seem like it will last and is not very flexible to allow you to stick your fingers in to grab something

-the color is really bright, it is very bright (obnoxious) bing cherry red and looks a little cheap. The color looked a little darker and classier on my computer (and my husband's computer), but it is very bright - almost orangy.

-the clasp isn't the easiest to close, the post on one side is very short and doesn't really snap into the other side, you have to move it slowly around to get the post to go into the hole.

-I assumed from looking at the picture that you could flip the cover open and snap the flap back onto the cover and out of the way while reading - it doesn't. There is an extra inch of flap, so the cover doesn't lay flat when snapped open, yet there isn't enough slack to allow it to be used as a stand... just bad engineering and a missed oppurtunity.

The good things
-decent price

-thin and lightweight (I guess that can be seen as good or bad..)

-the magnet on the snap is very strong - so when you don't get it 'snapped' shut it will stay on the magnet

-the Kindle fits snuggly in it and all the buttons are easily accessible

-stitching on the leather is nice and neat

It is an okay cover, many people really like it according to the reviews. I probably would not have picked it if I saw it at the store.

This is a beautiful and vibrant red case which does not feel and smell like leather but the craftsmanship is great and it looks good too. I was looking for a case like this. It holds the Kindle secure and the soft inside of the flap protects the screen from scratching. I wish I could find a way to attach a light, then it would be perfect. Great value for the price. Soft to the touch and expensive looking.

This Kindle Cover is exactly what it says it is. It is a perfect fit. Not hard to get in, but no room to slip around. All keys and ports and such are very accessible. If you want it to stand alone, it does so at a great angle. If you want to hold it, it is very comfortable. It looks and feels like real leather, I believe it is. The sewing is beautifully done. I love it. When I am out, I have had many compliments on it. I have it in red. I have no reason to take it out of the case. It charges in the case, it reads in the case. I can not think of anything they could have done to make it a better case. Buy it, you will be so pleased.

I needed a case for my new Kindle and chose this one according to the reviews. I'd heard about people having trouble with some of the Kindle cases, so I wanted to be able to avoid that if possible. I've been very happy with this case so far. It looks great, is sturdy, and it protects my Kindle very well, plus if I'm having dinner and want to read while doing so, the case is easy to set up on the table because of its design. (I know that may not be important to some, but for me it's a great advantage!) The only thing is, if you want a case that opens like a book, this isn't the one for you. This opens like a notepad (see the picture), but I find it very comfortable to hold, so for me, that's not a problem. If you want a quality case at a really reasonable price, I highly recommend the Bear Motion Folio.

I love this case. It is both functional and beautiful. The case holds my Kindle secure, I can read while in the case with all buttons etc.. accessible to me and never have to remove it from the case. I love the way it snaps shut and the top folds over making it easy to hold and never have to worry it will fall out. The leather is top quality leather and the color is a beautiful and vibrant red. I was really amazed at the quality for only $19.99. I have had many compliments on this case and highly recommend it.

I have ordered from Amazon for years (usually via Amazon Prime) and have always been leery of the Amazon Marketplace because I had one really bad experience about 4 years ago. I swore off it and never looked back.

However I recently bought a Kindle 3 (from Best Buy) which I love! <3 So of course I had to find the perfect case. I spent a while in Best Buy perusing their offerings. I then read a ton of reviews on Amazon (and heeded prior customers' advice to avoid the Amazon case - sorry Amazon, but those metal clips seem to be a real issue - otherwise I would've bought your case. But I digress ...)

I happened upon the Bear Motion Tech Mart red case for the Kindle 3 and despite some trepidation (again due to Amazon Marketplace) I ordered it.

Just a few days later I received the package ... and it was perfect!

The red is vibrant and not "cheap" looking. The sizing for the Kindle3 is perfect (I read the reviews about people having problems with it not fitting ... I'm at a loss - it fits my Kindle 3 perfectly, and *all* of the buttons are accessible - none of the leather covers them.) The leather is supple and I love the fact that the cover flips over the top (and the piece of leather at the top that holds the front cover to the back - that bends when you flip the cover open - looks and feels sturdy). While the cover is open you can attach the magnetic snap at the bottom to the opened cover and you now have a perfect area (between the cover and the back of the case) to slip your hand (right or left - that's the good thing about a flip-over cover) and hold the K3 while you read. And you have easy access from this position to the back and forward page buttons with either of your thumbs. There's ample padding (but not tooooo much) to protect your K3 (both in the front and back of the case.)

I'll be honest, the cover exceeded my (very high) expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I'm thinking of a K3 for my mom and if so, I'll be ordering another case from Bear Motion for her as well.

When my mom got a Kindle for a gift, I bought her this cover to go with it. She loved it so much that I bought one myself when I got a Kindle a little later. I have been nothing but pleased with this cover over the last five weeks - it looks great and works extremely well. This case is an incredible value compared to all of the other cases I looked at - and I looked at most of them - especially since it is leather!

I initially thought I might dislike that the cover flipped open like a notepad rather than opening to the side like a book, but this is actually one of my favorite things about the cover as it means that I can easily stand my Kindle up on a table using the cover so I don't need to hold it up myself.

I read in some other reviews that people had problems with the case covering some of the buttons and I must say I don't understand the complaints - it fits on my newest-generation Kindle perfectly and doesn't cover any buttons. Perhaps the company has tweaked/improved the design a bit since those complaints.

The color looks a little pinkish-red in the photo and it's not pinkish-red at all in reality - a true, fire-engine primary red.

I highly recommend this case - a great case at a great price. How often do you get a product like that?

I love this cover. It holds my kindle securely and all the keys are visible.
I originally purchased a red Roo cover but it wasn't a slide in cover and had little elastics to hold the corners but they covered some of the keys at the bottom. Also, I was always cleaning the keys because the color on the inside was rubbing off on the keys.
I don't have any of those problems with the Bear cover and it is reasonably priced.
